I didn't think he'd play as well as he did coming off of knee surgery, and technically he didn't.  He crawled his way back up from a +6 after the first eighteen.  The thing I was constantly telling myself was, "he is human, look at this, he really is human!"  When I heard that he was in an eighteen hole playoff with the 158th ranked golfer, I was sort of confused!  On one hand I thought, hey it's Tiger, the inevitability factor comes into play at this point.  On the other, I thought maybe this Mediate guy is peaking at the right time; maybe he can actually beat a wounded Tiger!  But honestly, I was surprised that he came back from the injury to win this Major.  I would have been even more surprised had he defeated the field by more than 2 strokes!  

Another factor was the nature of the surgery. I was thinking to myself, I remember having the same surgery and it was difficult to put weight on it, let alone the kind of torque he was throwing at it every time he would swing!  VERY SURPRISED!
